" Never worry about numbers, help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you"
-
Mother Theresa
We believe animals are people!
- To provide quality vet care for any animals in need that we can
- To provide high quality food, and clean water to any animals we see who have none
- To provide basic medical treatment to every animal we can, even if on the street, until such time as they can be rescued or their situation otherwise improved
- To provide assistance to owners of dogs who are loved, but who cannot afford basic vetneeds, food, medicines, and other supplies for the short or long term
- To educate the pet owning public on the Best Practices for pet care, not just the basics, so that their pet has a quality, happy and safe life.
- To bring injured or endangered animals to safety, by any legal means at our disposal
- To facilitate the saving of animals by forging and nurturing mutually positive relationships with other rescues and animal lovers
- To promote passage of progressive and humane legislation in our state
- To support and encourage the involvement for others in the animal care and rescue movement
- Above all, to promote, encourage, finance, and ensure high rates of spaying and neutering of any and all pet animals, so as to decrease the numbers of stray or unwanted animals on the streets, and in the "kill" shelter systems.
- To perform all these acts without discrimination as to neighborhood, situation, or breed
As you can see, these goals are lofty. Many rescue groups have much more funding that we do. We hope, over time, to win people over and gain their support. We hope to win and obtain grants to perform this important work. Mostly, we hope to save many animals, and ease their suffering, and support their families through difficult times.
Every being deserves to live a life free from fear, hunger, pain, and suffering. We hope to make it so, as many times as possible.
